Jonny May is in the side to take on Bayonne. It's his first game after a lengthy lay-off with a knee injury and he will start the game on the wing ..

His return is a major boost to a side struggling for consistency, and which will show lots of changes from the one which drew 27-27 at Chiefs last week.

In the pack Yann Thomas, Joe Latta and Lewis Ludlow replace Paddy McAllister, Mariano Galarza and Ross Moriarty.

In the backs Greg Laidlaw hands the 9 shirt and the captaincy to Willi Heinz - possibly a more permanent swap next season when Laidlaw departs for Clermont Auvergne. Charlie Sharples steps down to the bench to accommodate May.

Gloucs: 15. James Hook; 14. David Halaifonua, 13. Matt Scott, 12. Mark Atkinson, 11. Jonny May; 10. Billy Twelvetrees, 9. Willi Heinz (capt); 1. Yann Thomas, 2. Richard Hibbard, 3. Paul Doran-Jones; 4. Tom Savage, 5. Joe Latta; 6. Lewis Ludlow, 7. Jacob Rowan, 8. Ben Morgan
