Mark Atkinson

BT Sport is in danger of turning Gloucester Rugby into a soap. The channel must think we are good entertainment value becuase they will be in Manchester to see us take on Sharks in yet another Friday night under lights ..

Foe the neutral last week's 27-27 thriller at Wuss probably was good fun but most Cherry and Whites would have preferred more of a dour game and five points.

Will we get that at Sharks? It will be hard even though we were the only club to win there last season.

There's one significant change with Joe Latta making his debut in the second row, while Mark Atkinson comes in for the Billy Twelvetrees and Lewis Ludlow comes into the back row for Ross Moriarty.

Can we finally pull off a full 80 minutes performance? Turn on and tune in.

It certainly does, and so it would appear do Sale; penalties given away, butchered rolling mauls, missed kicks; we were well beaten and lucky to come second.
