That tingle is starting again as pre-season looms and plans are laid out for the new season with Greg Laidlaw continuing as skipper. But sadly Billy Meakes is returning down under ...

The popular centre has earned himself a Super League contract although there's no word yet on who the 25 year old will actually play for.

He says it's too good an opportunity to turn  down - and the guarantee of some proper sunshine will, no doubt, also be attractive. However, we have already lost Henry Trinder to a long term knee injury which required surgery although the squad is boosted by the signing of Warrior's centre Andy Symons.

He has undoubted talent, but has also been victim to a bad knee injury so, after last year's overwhelmingly disappointing season, we are  now on tenterhooks to see who is coming in.
