There's no doubt we should have done better against a side reduced to 14 men for 58 minutes - but if you don't score tries you don't win games ..

Sarries were already 10-3 up when Schalk Brits thumped Nick Wood.  The hooker who wasn't able to continue after being assessed for head injuries, fortunately he is said to be fine.

Sarries were already down to 14 at this point with Brad Barritt in the bin and Brits was rightly red carded. You would have expected us to go on and overturn Ransom's ealy try, instead we squandered our best chance when Dan Murphy failed to hold Mark Atkinson's pass with the line at his mercy.

 Charlie Hodgson banged over six penalties, with James Hook managing four, as the home side ran out 25-12 winners.

Our failure to manage even a bonus point against a reduced side is a worry. We do play with skill and energy, but when it comes to being pragmatic in winning games we fall short.
