Gloucester Beat "Monsters"

Cook

Watching Goucester work out how to manage the monster pack of La Rochelle was the highlight of the weekend - with the signing of Scottish centre Matt Scott for next season not far behind. Do we mean business in 2016-2017?

Certainly Rob Cook is doing the biz this season as he scored another dazzling try  after seizing on a loose kick from  Fabian Fortassin. Kick to Cooky and you've had it.

Billy Twelvetrees got the other score as we had to tough it out to earn the 20-10 win which guarantees group qualfication. Now we have to beat Zebre in Parma next weekend to guarantee a home tie.

And what do we make of Scott's signing?. Undoubtedly encouraged by Greg Laidlaw the 25 year old has already been capped 33 times and ays he wants to test himself in the Premiership.

His presence will certainly make life more competitive for the existing midfielders - providing they are all still here in the summer.
