I only bought my ticket for Japan v Scotland to show my loyalty to Kingsholm and to rugby in general. Until last weekend I'd hardly given the game a second thought apart from booking an afternoon off work ... now I can't wait.
Those last five minutes of SA v Japan were among the most exciting you will ever see on a rugby pitch and are still reverberating round the 15-man world.
The Japan win undoubtedly ignited the competition and now every David vs Goliath encounter is being looked at as a potential giant killing. In truth there won't be many more, but all of a sudden the result of today's game is very hard to predict. It should be a humdinger.
And who to support? Until last weekend it would have been a no-brainer with Scottish ancestry on my mother's side and the fact that a Glaws player is leading out the Tartan boys.
However the way Japan went about their last game deserves notying but admiration. Energy, commitment and skill in abundance and the Boks were blown away.
May the best team win.
