Meakes Returns

Our last home game of the season will also be the most important. Connacht return on Sunday  for a showdown with the winner taking on a French side for a place in next season's European Championship ...

Not surprisingly most of the players who were rested at Bath last week return including Billy Meakes and Ross Moriarty who have served their bans.

Henry Purdy, Nick Wood and Dan Thomas keep their places with Charlie Sharples, Jonny May, James Hook, Greig Laidlaw, Richard Hibbard, John Afoa and Tom Palmer all returning.

It will be tight. Connacht were at Kingsholm last month for a quarter final which saw us progress thanks to a 14-7 victory.

Connacht will be misising uinjured scrum half Kieran Marmion with John Cooney coming in. 

George Naoupu comes into the second row alongside Aly Muldowney.

Well played Glaws and Connaught (from Bath). Great game to watch. Sure you'll do the business next week and we'll see you in Europe next season. Any chance of yer man May retiring soon?
