Gloucs have been away this week to reunite the internationals with the stay behinds as we look to get the season back on track with a trip to Sale ...Sunday kick off 2.00 and live on BT Sport  ...

Our aim must now be to finish in the top half of a season which, to be fair, the new coaching regime has always said would be one of building a new team.

Billy Twelvetrees returns from England duty to skipper the side and he'll partner on loan Brendan Macken in the centres.

The club is hailing the backs selection as one which is "youthful and exciting" and which will feature Junior World Championship winners Billy Burns and Callum Braley.

In the pack Nick Wood makes his first start since the New Year, and he will pack down alongside Richard Hibbard and John Afoa. Elliott Stooke and Tom Palmer form a new partnershiop at lock.

The Sharks are two places and six points ahead of us and defeat would be a serious dent to our ambition of achieving respectability.

Agreed a bottom half finish is unacceptable giving the quality of the players we brought in last summer.
However giving some other players game time will certainly help next season when we will fist have the World Cup and then the World Cup hangover as we get back to "mundane" league rugby towards Xmas.
