That's About It Then

A late fight back wasn't enough to salvage our season as Wasps deservedly went through to the semi of the Amlin thanks to a 36-24 victory ..

We paid the price of a poor first half which may have been down to a late reshuffle when Mike Tindall - fresh from the Grand National - was  injured in the warm up.  outcome was that Freddie Burns was at fly half but his head seemed to be somehwere else - probably in Leicestr - and he struggl;ed to make any impression at all.

As a result Wasps had little trouble in opening up a 20 point lead which was only threatened when we finally got our act together in the last 30 minutes.

That may have been inspired by the injustice of Festuccia’s try which had been awarded by the television match official Alan Falzone on 44 minutes. Those of us also with the benefit of the TV replay could also see a knock on so it was something of a surprise when the score was awarded.

Both Jonny May and Gareth Evans went over to reeduce the deficit before Helu went over for Wasps and Martyn Thomas scored a late consolation.

Nothing much left to play for now so let's see some of the up and coming players getting a chance. .

I know this isn't read much, but I'm not joining shedweb.

The "knock on" went backwards out of the hands, to come off the leg. Of course, if you're positive that this is a knock on, then you can have the 7 points difference.

However, I'd like you to tell the AP that you're requesting them dock Glaws 2 bonus points (lbp and tbp), since your first try (and conversion) against Wasps in the AP fixture in November came in exactly the same manner.

As it says in the report Wasps deserved to win so I dont think its a question of sour grapes just pointing out that the TV replay looked like it was forward

Fair enough, I understand that, I'm just adding that something very similar in the AP game happened, and there was no mention of it being a knock on grinning smiley.

There's something like it happens in most games of rugby but there's not always a TV camera to watch it back.

Might be our turn to get a couple of favourable decisions against the old enemy this weekend (Sm100)
They have ambitions of a top four finish which I would very much like to thwart
