The next three games could have an important impact on our league season - but who will be in charge?

According to the official site it's business as usual with Nigel Davies explaining his thinking behind the team to take on Saints in the LV.

But in the Citizen forwards coach Andrew Stanley is said to be in charge for all three games while Nigel takes a step back to consider what's going wrong, and to try to bring in a prop. Conspiracy theorists fill your boots.

They have selected Freddie Burns to captain the side for the first time, and asked 17 year old Ollie Thorley to make his club debut in the centre alongside Mike Tindall at Franklin's Gardens - of all places.

At 17 years and 59 days old Ollie will become the youngest Gloucester player ahead of Billy Burns who was 17 years and 130 days when he played at London Irish, also in the LV in February 2012.

Dan George, Gareth Evans, James Gibbons, Stephen Reynolds will also be making their first starts as will former Saints' second row Tom Hicks.

Nigel said: "Over the next three games, the two LV= Cup friendlies and the Japan fixture, we'll rotate the squad, field strong teams in all games, be competitive and gain some momentum in to the next block of Premiership games.

"Using the whole squad produces healthy competition for places .... will hopefully bring about dividends when we need to bring players in, as they'll have been playing at first team level."
