Remember the olden days when visiting teams used to lose at Kingsholm? Well, actually it's not that long ago, of course, but having lost their last three home matches, Gloucester are in grave danger of falling into the worst habit of all.

The run has even temped coach Bryan Redpath to admit his team can’t rely on its home form at the moment.

The trouble is, their away form isn’t much to shout about either, and that marks Glaws down as a middle-of-the-table team – not good enough for those who have been brought up on better.

It’s not as if Glaws hadn’t been warned when they were hammered at Welford Road in the LV= Cup recently. Toby Flood - surely the man England need to rebuild around - is in top form, and he did it again at Kingsholm as he scored 14 of Leicester’s points in their 19-14 success.

His try gave Tigers the advantage after half-time, but Luke Narraway’s reply gave the cherry and whites hope before Alesana Tuilagi charged down to score the clincher.

Redpath told the BBC: “I thought we were far better today than against Harlequins last week.

"It wasn't going to be a flash game and I don't think there was that much between the sides, but credit to Leicester.

"We probably should have made a bit more of having the wind with us in the first half and I am disappointed that we have lost at home again.”

Disappointed?

Join the club, Bryan ... those who pay to watch are as sick as the proverbial parrots, never mind disappointed.

Now Glaws go to the North East next weekend for a game against the team most people are tipping for relegation.

Redpath says: "Newcastle away is a massive game for us. We can't rely on our home form at the moment, so we have to rely on some of our away results."

Home or away, Glaws just need a win ... quickly.
