Naz - comeback?

He’s proved a match-inners enough times this season to qualify as one of the first players coach Bryan Redpath should pencil in when he sits down to choose his Gloucester teams - but fly-half Nicky Robinson looks like being an injury doubt for the weekend's European Challenge Cup-tie against Agen in France.

And that would be a double glow for Robinson, because his older brother Jamie plays for the French side and it would have been the first time the Welsh pair had ever played against each other in a competitive match.
Robinson is still nursing the hamstring injury that forced him off against Bath last weekend, but he had already done more than most to earn a significant win for Glaws and there was always a chance that he might have been rested for this game.
As opposed to being dropped.
Back-row Brett deacon will also be out through suspension, and that means a chance for Luke Narroway to make a comeback after the opening-day disaster at Exeter.
Redpath told the Citizen: "Naz was one of the guys who was poor at Exeter, we haven't shied away from that, but that hasn't made him a poor player.
“He's a top professional who is desperate for a chance, and this might be it.
"He's a very experienced player and will be itching to fight his way back in, and it's great we've got that competition for places in the squad."
He’s dead right there, and after a see-saw Premiership weekend when the Bath win saw them  zoom to fourth before slipping down to sixth in three days, Glaws face two Amlin Cup-ties before returning to domestic action.
Friday night’s visit to Agen is followed by a home tie against Rovigo, and after the performance at the Rec anything but two wins would possibly be regarded as a failure by Redpath as well as the fans, even though the coach can be expected to use the games to ring the changes in his squad.
Winning at Bath is still such a rarity that Glaws fans are in danger of going over the top in their celebrations, but this really was a good performance as well as a good result.
If Glaws can play as well as that consistently, the season might not be as bad as it threatened to be in the first couple of weeks.
