World Cup Diary Day 12: France down and out

Day 12 of the tournament in South Africa has been dominated by the news that France have been knocked out. The French finished bottom of Group A with just one point, and will be flying home to much criticism from fans who feel let down with their side's attitude and behaviour. Players refused to train this week is support of Anelka, who was sent home after arguing with his manager.
