It is believed that a Walsall transfer target Noah Hickey from New Zealand Knights will not be signing for the League 2 leaders after a work permit was refused for the New Zealand International.
It was believed the player who can play on the in a number of positions which includes on the wing and as a striker was going to join The Saddlers for five months until the end of the season and from the Australian club and then potentially return home to play for a rebranded Knights.
The club have also failed to rule out a move for of their own today. Will there be a replacement for James Constable with Par Cederqvist, Hector Sam and Martin Butler the only main strikers? Will The Saddlers bring in a desperately needed creative midfielder to partner captain Michael Dobson or vice-captain Dean Keates?
