Hoping to get back from Leicester in time for this game. It's gonna be tough, but the home advantage and the fact a win will leapfrog them if we can get a bonus point, or stop them doing so, will be a massive incentive.
Chiefs 30: Sarries 20

I haven't been following the women as closely as I should have, but this is a game that I always look out for. Good luck ladies!

Chiefs have no Hope! winking smiley
Seriously though is she injured? She's been a one woman-army every time Sarries have played Chiefs. Not familiar enough with squads to know if its a position you've got good depth in?

Hope is away with the rest of the US and Canadian girls playing in the Pacific Four series this weekend.
But rest assured she continues to battle on, scoring 2 tries this morning, in a great fightback against the Wallaroos.

Well in case nobody saw the result...it was a blooming thumping by Sarries.
I watched on YouTube for ten minutes, during which time Sarries scored three tries...it looked like a training match. I turned it off and did some gardening instead.
What on earth went wrong??
Was Susie saving some players? A 'tactical plan' to lure Play-off oppos into a false sense of security OR do we not simply have enough good players when all our Canadians are away?

Canadians and Americans away, I think Exeter were missing 10 players and Sarries 4. Given that I expected an away win but was a little surprised by how big the scoreline was.

I admit to leaving Sandy Park at half time and I wasn't the only one...never done that before but what the hell...was that? Even allowing for the absences...that was the worst performance the ladies have put up for hell knows how long! We were just nowhere.

We had one scoring chance in each half, the second chance we scored, the first chance we came close. Apart from that, we hardly spent any time in `Sarries 22, or possibly no time at all. Chiefs just weren’t at the races, very strange performance.

Is that their biggest loss, home or away?

I was watching the warm ups quite carefully.
It is quite a good barometer of how the match is likely to pan out I find.
It wasn't pretty viewing imo and I wasn't at all surprised we got beat comfortably but the ease with which Sarries scored their tries was still shocking.
It was a bit of a dead rubber in a sense so hopefully we can find the missing intensity when it really matters 🤞

Susie has a lot of work to do after this truly awful performance. Why are the girls not stepping up given their opportunities with the North Americans away?

A bit of a disappointing day all told.
Not just the result, but also towards the women's rugby organisation, that allows important run-in games, to the play-off places, at the same time as the PAC4 games on the other side of the world.

Disappointing that both clubs were unable to put out full strength sides, Chiefs losing more first choice players than Sarries to PAC4, although they did lose Sophie De Goede, in my opinion probably the best player in the league. I know the women's rugby organisation don't value the presence of overseas players in the PWR league teams, demonstrated by the threat of docked match points over player numbers, but it would be good if they could just establish a calendar that doesn't affect important match day experiences, in a league that is mostly unable to financially support larger squads that could cope with such player abstractions.

Very much agree with you, Tribester. If the aim is to build a product that's self sufficient it's essential that critical games are met at full strength and not impacted by international games outside of the league. Sunday's game was a sham ... Infront of an impressive 2000+. The league needs to deliver to those supporters if it's to succeed.
