I can understand why Hogg is playing these are big hard hitting units so keep Hodge back for the league. Stable side with the youngster a bit more knowledgeable every outing, good to see Olly has recovered, let’s hope he’s on top form for restarts.
Tough ask, as long as the boys show they are doing their best, no complaints from me if we lose.
The main thing like last week we must vocally get behind them, it’s been said to many times by players how it helps. So buy a beer take your places and hold on for the ride.

Stormers are without their No6 Deon Fourie who was their MoM last week v Quins and had an outstanding game. Not sure how the travelling has affected them but it will be a really tough battle, they are 2nd in the URC and think it might be a game to far for us but who knows!
Not an easy decision, as I’d love us to grab this one by the b…s and come out of the blocks running.
However l think their pack will make the difference.
Chiefs 21 - 31 Stormers
We have not played at our best for a long time. If we do and stormers flag after travel Chiefs 34 Stormers 31. If we are below our beat and stormers adapt well to travel it could be very painful..Key person Raynal with interpretation of scrum and breakdown
We can’t do it again this week can we???
Heart says the long goodbye lasts another week.
Head says that given our season both on and off the pitch, to get to QF is about our limit and possibly above expectation.
Chiefs 19 Stormers 28
Given our season so far a quarter final is better than expected. Unfortunately, I can't see us having the power to win this one. That's a fearsome stormers pack! Chiefs 19 Stormers 40.
If Chiefs
> are card-free for the full 80 minutes
> give away less than 8 penalties in the game
> front up in the pack and defend like trojans
> back themselves to go wide and also chip'n'chase
And Stormers
> get a red card in the first half
We stand a good chance....
It's not beyond us to win this by any means! I believe the ref and cards will be the decisive factor.
Chiefs 25 - 23 Stormers
COYC!!
Well even the optimists didn’t see that coming…. Well played boys. Sooooo pleased to be proven sooooo wrong! Hope it’s sarries we get to beat in the semi!

Quite a lot of us got that badly wrong! Keithbar54 and Chief Firewater both correctly predicted Stormers’ score; strangely no-one got Chiefs’ score right. Decent crowd made their presence felt!

Next week Tigers away. It will be really difficult to reproduce the level emotion and togetherness again but we do need a win to keep our play-off hopes alive.
