The clash at Sandy Park is the second of three encounters between the pair this season, with Sale Sharks coming out on top of a hard-fought battle at the start of October – the match ending 28-20.

The trilogy reaches a conclusion a fortnight on from this Sunday, when Sharks return to the South West in league action.

The sides have never met in the Premiership Rugby Cup, even with both sides reaching the same stage in 2020.

Chiefs lost out to Harlequins before Sharks stepped past Saracens and went on to lift the trophy with a 27-19 home win over Quins.

Sort of hoped we might see some returning from injury here. Devoto capstick, jv? Obviously not though. Good strong side i think.

By what I understand there won’t be many watching, a Sunday all pay game is a killer when it’s also the youngsters. Just don’t know what’s going to happen, but they are coached by the second best coach in our camp behind Rob, Ricky will have them playing with heart.

Tickets have been relatively cheap but the whole thing was very short notice.

Chiefs 20 Sale 15, I'll be optimistic here.

It also isnt brilliant scheduling. If you want to see the whole chiefs match, you'll miss the first two italy tries against England...🤣

Just kidding PC. 😇

But i expect it to be at least as competitive as the Scotland match.

Im really interested to watch the young guns in the Chiefs match. Should be a great afternoon of rugby.

Poor timing and probably a smallish crowd but TV money will help. Good to see some of our young guys again.

A lot of names in the Sale side I know nothing about but it looks to me as if we're putting out a more experienced side. Hopefully it gets us the win.

Will be interesting to see Sam and Byron back at Sandy Park. Sam particularly seems to have missed out, having Manu sign soon after him he hasn't had a great deal of game time at Sale.

Two evenly mixed sides... in terms of experience the likes of Cliff, James, McGuigan, and Woodward may help Sale if a close one. We have a solid and mobile pack.
Weather stays dry we could get a good open game.

Sam missed a season through injury, rumour has it he will be moving on at the end of this season. Pity good guy and a decent player.

Frankly, I'm stunned. I really thought Sale would produce more, but they were well and truly put to the sword. Excellent team performance and some really exciting individual efforts. Clearly there's a huge desire to break through into the first team. Might even reconsider my decision not to renew my season ticket!

Some real stars in the making on display today, very impressed with Feyi - Waboso, fast and good positional sense, along with Jenkins at 10, good kicking , Tuima could be the new big Dave, and the new boy Whitten did well😀
With those lads, and some of the other youngsters already in the 1st team squad, the future does indeed look bright. I hope the club organises some coaches for the final next month.

Crowd of 5338. Televised Sunday game prior to the England game with very few travelling supporters. I can think of a few Premiership sides who struggle to get that many for a league game! Those who did attend certainly got value for money!
