Yes, it is me (I think)

Not sure when this first manifested itself but I thought it was just a momentary glitch. How wrong could I be?

It’s like being in a soundproofed glass cage. I can see but can’t make myself heard. I can’t comment on anything and can only use this method of communication. It’s driving me wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I try to post this is the message that appears “Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.”

When I try to log on this message appears “That username/password was not found or is inactive. Please try again.”

When I try to use a new email account, Mrs PC’s, the website promises to send me a new password (why?) but doesn’t.

Mike, you mention a “htaccess file”. What is that? I’m not very good at computers when things go wrong. Can you help?

I am not surprised it drives you wild - computers and their ilk often drive me bonkers as well - I know how you feel and how much time it is possible to waste.

I'm not sure why but it seems to me that I have far more htaccess when I'm looking at the Tigers' forum than any of the others.

I'm not a techie but as far as I can tell from some quick research about this error, it seems to be something that the site owner has to fix, assuming of course, that they're aware of it (I'd assume by now that they must be).

I have no idea if this will make a difference but you could try clearing the cookies for the site to see if that helps.

I am not a techie but according to a friend of mine who is- this has to be sorted out by the site owner/controller.

I'm pretty certain that the problem that PC has is different to the one being discussed on the Bath board. Unfortunately, I have no idea who can be contacted or how to contact someone at SportNetwork to look into it.

PC - please don't give up! This is a great platform for our debate and discussion, and you're doing a great, if often thankless, task of managing it. Sports network should be able to help, as if they don't or can't then the demise of our forum is the result, and so their loss on advertising revenue. Good luck.

In Rob we trust.
By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.
