Exeter Chiefs have failed to make the play offs for the first time since 2015. The Chiefs only victory in their last five Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches was 42-22 at home to Bath in Round 22. Exeter have only been defeated once in their last six first team matches at Sandy Park: 17-22 to Leicester in Round 21 of Premiership Rugby.
Defending champions Harlequins have already reached the semi-finals for the sixth time. The Londoners only loss in their last eight Gallagher Premiership Rugby fixtures was by a single point at Northampton in Round 24. Harlequins three game winning run away from home in Premiership Rugby ended with their 31-32 defeat at Franklin’s Gardens on 29 April.
Harlequins have won their last two encounters with Exeter including the 2021 final at Twickenham. Quins have not achieved a regular season’s double over the Chiefs since 2013/14.

We were robbed by a blind ref at their place, we are on the rebuild so not sure how tomorrow will go. Tempest as usual will give us nothing, so no help there with 50/50.
Can’t see us beating this years blue eyed boys, shame Sarries will win it. I predict lots of stops to
Get breath back, probably instigated by Marler as in the past, he really needs to learn how to tie boot laces, and hope our boys don’t fall for his cheat I mean “gamesmanship”.
They are a good team, but don’t need the assistance they’ve had all season in tight games.
If we god forbid get the rub of the green with ref we could squeak it but 21-27 most likely.
Reset for next season, in the stupid 13 team league when who cares what happens after March.

If we can keep the ball in the forwards then we have a chance but head rules heart so:
Exeter 21 - 31 Quins.

I am pretty disappointed with this selection, its a dead rubber game so a perfect opportunity to give others a run, I cannot believe we have gone for Whitts and Skinner as our centre combo with Woody on the wing ! If I was O'Brian, or Corderro, I'd be feeling pretty miffed !

From the offy:

"Tomorrow, the Chiefs will play out their final game of the regular season against Harlequins at a packed out Sandy Park (3pm)."

Anybody else think that's wishful thinking and it'll be half empty? If I didn't have a season ticket I wouldn't be shelling out to go to a game of little consequence. I imagine a fair few STHs won't bother either.

To be honest with the current league format and no relegation can’t see any team selling out, as Rob stated on YouTube he has made mistakes with the new youngsters but he is looking forward to next season as am I. Even if by this site I’m the only ST there, you cannot always be on the upward curve unless you are as they say “creative” with finances.

Interesting to see Harvey at centre and Facundo and Sean O'Brien in squad. Presumably these guys will need to step up next year. Would be delighted with a win but might be a big ask. On plus side looks like might be v big crowd.

Plus one, Whitts against their centre pair shows how far we are behind the top four teams. I think Skinner has something but too poor of a goal kicker to play ten, and he is not 35 years old

I'd guess Whitten is there to help counteract the power of their centres, particularly Esterhuizen.

I can't see us winning this - Chiefs 21 Quins 34 ..................... I hope I'm wrong (and probably will be!)

if you have the turning circle of a oil tanker and the pace of a prop it does not work, I have seen it with a lot of managers who get to friendly with some players. look how jones picked the saracen players for the 6 nations when when they where not fit

To select Whitts for much of the season and particularly this match shows how poor the centre choices are in the Chief's compared to many other positions. Poor long term planning and a failure of the coaches IMO not Whitts. He is past his fantastic best and appears to have been a coach favourite which means other's have had no chance to develop or just left for pastures new.

They have a replacement in Devoto and Hendrickson, Just a shame Devoto has spent so much time on the sidelines.

A great game to watch with lots of mistakes. Sorry Whitts did not have a great game through my blinkers. Despite the high scores plenty of lateral running, poor passes and why throw long miss passes when you have a clear overlap! Draw/commit the man and pass. We squandered at least four opportunities. Forwards running onto passes at speed was better and Yenz certainly as captain certainly looked to energise the side. It might have been a different match if a top four place depended on it - Harlequins needed/wanted it less than we did judging by our players response at the end.
