Ok not much speculation on here today. Sam Simmonds not playing and Munster have Carbery and their inspiration O'Mahony back. Not at all confident but I feel we may sneak it as underdogs with season running out for a big performance due from us. No cards vital as always, Jo must have his kicking boots on. and staying on the right side of the ref at the breakdown. Munster 17 Chiefs 19. We must start well.
If the lineout and maul functions we could sneak it. We need to keep on the right side of sir as well.
Didn't think Sam was his old self last game so we might benefit with Kirston starting alongside Vermulean . Munster 17- 21 Chiefs Keeping everything crossed.
This is going to be yet another tough one.
I’m going for a home win by a small margin, managing to keep Munster to less than 5pts, resulting in an overall Chiefs WIN🤞
Munster 19 (27) - 15 (28) Chiefs
Like l said last week the key to this is keeping the scoreboard ticking over and l hope we’ve learnt from last week.
Thanks Boldeagle - is it the one where he missed one of the internationals in which case it has been something he has tried to play with - not ideal. Thanks for the info.
So difficult to predict this season, we have a better away record but can never tell which Chiefs will turn up.
Being positive and an away win, good engines in the pack and it is a strong defensive squad.
Munster men 20- Chiefs 24
Can’t see us being blown away, but maybe more pragmatic.
I am worried.
Sam not playing is not a huge surprise,he looked last week like he was carrying a knock,I believe he had treatment during the game and had little or no influence on the game.
Personally,I am worried about our breakdown work.
I don't like the look of our pack.
We have picked a heavyweight back 5 of our pack and we look slow on paper in that area and lack balance. Mobility doesn't look our strong point.
Hodnett could have a field day unless we work incredibly hard to beat him to the breakdown.
We can still get through IF our line out functions.
I will be cheering from my sofa so fingers crossed 🤞
Fed up with the negative views, last week was our best all round performance for ages. Defence was superb, Munster didn’t really make many chances to score. I know we should have probably been a few points better of but I really think this team can hold Munster and progress. Put the same effort in as last week and I think we’ll sneak it, com’on chiefs!!
As a few have said it's hard predicting Chiefs at the moment. If you are a positive person you look at last week's game and say "except for the yellow card period Munster created nothing and it was all chiefs, they couldn't cope with our power game" If you are a negative person you look at last week's game and say " with all the possession we had we should be miles ahead, Munster will be much better at home"
Both points of view are correct if we do play like we did last week I'm confident. Hopefully our line out functions and our scrum is as good as last week.
Munster 21 Chiefs 25
I can't see us beating them at Thomond Park, but I'm hopeful we can (a) keep 15 men on the pitch and (b) keep it within our reach so I'm going for Munster 18 Chiefs 15
As BC LC says very difficult to predict this result. However, the sun is shining and making us both more positive
Mrs PC Chiefs 17 Munster 15
PC Chiefs 17 Munster 14
Mike posted a loss but gave his score as a Chiefs' win. In my customary generosity I have entered his result as a loss and reversed his score to reflect that on the basis that it is easier to misplace numbers than confuse the words "win" and "loss".
