In Rob's pre match comments he says that we will have to get used to a bit of pain over the next few weeks with senior players away with Six Nations. It is, however, a wonderful chance for the youngsters to step up and perform. It would be good to see Hodge get some game time and the front row have a real opportunity to impress.
I really like the look of that side and the bench. I know there are lots of injury absences as well as international call ups and these next 8 weeks could be a bit painful, but at long last, even if from necessity , we are going to see if the second/ third/ fourth string guys can really hack it. We have tons of props and hookers, and they need to grow up eventually. I have been wanting to see HS at 12 for a while, to see if he can add that creative “je ne sais qua” in Henry’s absence.
The big ones missing for me are Cordero, Street, and Hinckley.
Like all games in the six nations window, a difficult one to predict.
Irish are a good side now and are not really affected by call ups.
I'm glad we have our Scottish players, hoping that might be enough to nudge it our way. Irish 24 Chiefs 27 Although, would not be at all surprised if we lost this one
Irish a good side without a lot of "star" players. Rona always looks good to me. Even so I'm going with my heart
PC Chiefs 24 Irish 18
Mrs PC Chiefs 17 Irish 20
So much for family solidarity!
Cornwall Chief and Bold Eagle move ahead of the pack; CC got the right result and BE got Irish score right. Not a great deal of movement elsewhere; too much optimism!! again!!!
