Hadn't been posted on the official Chiefs site last time I looked, so for those who haven't found it yet, here's Rob's Newcastle match preview interview.

Ok, sorry that link doesn't appear to work.
Bear with me I'm working on it!

Edit:
Ok, if you're on a smartphone you can highlight the URL and it should give you a menu option to open direct in YouTube. On a desktop, you'll need to copy & paste the URL into your browser.

Or just click below:

Seems for some crazy reason you can't create a link within an article.

Interesting how he liked the performance more than well...pretty much all of us did.

Agreed. I don't know which player performance figures he was looking at, but presumably none of them involved recording the direction the scrum was travelling!

One thing Rob and this sites followers did agree on was the development of Richard Capstick as a 'premiership quality' player. To me he implied that all our players who are knocking on the international selection window need to keep pushing their performances and with some of our regulars stars away lead the performance of the team. I thought the interview, as his often are, was designed mainly as motivation and encouragement for the team with a gentle comment to us who have been a bit worried/critical of recent performances.

Well Big Dave for one I would have thought.

He doesn't make so many breaks, or score many tries, but he doesn't half put himself about.

I agree there were undoubtedly some strong individual performances. I guess we're just not used to seeing an Exe pack as a whole bossed around. I'm surprised Rob didn't mention that, but as has been said those interviews are possibly as much for internal consumption as they are for supporters. Incredibly tough job being a politician as well as a top class coach.

I think the covid thing has hit our team quite hard mentally as well as physically, just the chemistry of the way the Chiefs family works socially has had to change. Maybe Rob who has seen how the team usually functions off the pitch, and is quite please how they are getting there under these strange times. Are team is very good and our recent performances have been a blip. But I still believe the team will not be the force it was until there has been a proper break.
