2 rounds left and a home semi secured but Rob Baxter will be putting the Chiefs through some pretty tough routines following the last two games at Sandy Park. A defeat to Wasps and a far from comfortable win over Quins has left Rob Baxter with a different sort of conundrum to solve. He referred in interview that he feels the squad are in an emotional vacuum, well I don't think they'll be there ling as he is a past master at shaking things up. Maybe tjhis will turn out to be the sort of situation that sees the Chiefs well prepared for their Semi-final. If that's the case a final could beckon and I think they'll be well prepared to take anyone on. More than likely it will be Sarries but who knows! However the Chiefs have still to navigate the remaining fixtures against Sarries and Saints.
RB said he's looking for more commitment from the boys. It's true our last two home performances haven't been at a level we are used to seeing.
I've no idea what's going to happen v Sarries next but I'm expecting a different Chiefs performance when Saints come to SP...... If its still a bit off the pace I'd be concerned for the Semi Final.
It would be great if we got a ref who penalises teams who slow the game down. In the last two games at SP we have st off at pace, scored early tries and looked odds on for a WBP. We have then gone off the boil and when we try to increase the intensity and commit handling errors and give away scrums and penalties.
Wasps and Quins slowed the game down at every opportunity and I am not convinced that was not some skulduggery at scrum time by Quins!
I hope we play to win the league, winning the league should be a great honour, and until the wasp game we where on coarse to beat the points record of 87. Which given how strong every team as been this season is great credit to the boys. Also I don't fancy Glos in the playoffs who have beaten us twice this season already.
Personally I hope Glos finish 3rd as an away game against Sarries is a mouthwatering prospect at Allianz Park with a hard surface. I would hope Glos could spring a suprise if they have one of their good days!
As for our opponents, well both Saints and Quins are a tricky prospect but I think I'd rather tackle Quins.
When I first saw the topic headline I was wondering if "2 left" was going to be the amount of people posting on this forum judging by the @#$%& and baiting on other topics..... lol.
We have a hugely talented side that are incredibly well coached BUT I still personally don't think we are streetwise enough and lack experience in the bigger matches when we cannot impose our game on our opponents. Especially true in Europe imo.
It's no coincidence to me that we beat Wasps in the final when we had Geoff P and TTTE in the side and we haven't replaced that leadership and are not as cute since. On the flip side the players we have players that are getting experience that will be beneficial in the future.
Personally I think we need Nic White for his big match experience, nouse, gamesmanship as well as his all round play so replacing him with another 9 that can really boss a game is imperative imo.
As good as our young 9s may be we need a 9 that can control a game from there and I don't believe we have that at the moment.

Thanks Zyder Head!
Sometimes there is the need to sort the wheat from the chaff ...
We've seen some good wrap around moves, a first phase scoring line out and 3 men down the middle scoring play in the Braves and Tigers game recently.
I'm just hoping they're keeping these moves in reserve to be used in the semi and final, whilst playing the retain possession side to side tactic for the last 4 games, lulling opposition coaches for the semi/final into a false game plan against us.
