Chiefs v Falcons again...
The Chiefs and Falcons face each other for the 4th time this season but this match has a lot more riding on it! Chiefs defeated Falcons at Sandy Park in the AW Cup semi and the Premiership fixture but were defeated at Kingston Park. This loss was the first in a run of three games when things weren't exactly firing for the Chiefs. However since the loss to Worcester at Sandy Park the Chiefs have gone undefeated to the end of season scoring 281 and conceding 111 points in the process. During the same period Falcons have lost just two games with 162 points for and 178 against.
Chiefs have never lost to Falcons in the Premiership at Sandy Park and in the 7 wins have scored an average of 31 points whilst conceding 15. That having been said Falcons last visit to Sandy Park was a much closer affair with Chiefs coming out 34 to 24 winners. Falcons have really stepped up this year and are certainly a side who, much like the Chiefs play right through to the final whistle as evidenced by their win at Welford road.
With the semifinal being a 'one off' game there are different pressures that come to bear on both players and coaches. Thankfully the Chiefs have had plenty of experience over the last few seasons and have shown they can beat the best, defeating Wasps and Saracens here at Sandy Park to reach the last two Premiership finals and of course winning the ultimate in 'one off' games i.e. the Premiership final itself!
I can't wait to see the match and help The Tribe roar on the Chiefs to victory.
Falcons fan blowing the peace pipe!
As a Falcons fan who follows the team very closely i genuinely don’t know what team we will field on Saturday. Much to the annoyance of our fans, Deano keeps his cards very close to his chest regarding injuries. I’m not sure if we have a fly half available, whether goneva/sinoti are fit yet, whether our club captain is back in contention and if we have an uninjured tight head in the camp! It could of course all be Deano mind tricks!
Whatever happens our travelling fans are far happier to be visiting the excellent Sandy Park as apposed to the Allianz so it should be a great occasion whatever. Enjoy the game.
Looking forward to my first visit to SP. Having followed Falcons since the dawn of time, I will be celebrating on Saturday come what may. This has been our best season since God was in the under-11s. I shall then cross the Saltash Bridge to the land of my father (Mevagissey) and the home of the real 'oggy.
Safe travels to all Falcons fans .. Dick G.. after extensive research you will find the best pasties at Lifton Farm Shop .. just of the A30 aka strawberry fields ... I’ve probably opened a big can of worms now !!!!
dick g Another Falconista in peace,

Never mind them Devon pasties Dick G, get yerself to Martin's Bakery down in Looe. Proper local bakery with proper sized pasties and priced so cheaply you can't help but buy more than one and then wonder if you'll ever manage a second. Proper Job Bey
mommentum This could be the hardest team selection Mr Baxter has had to make with so many fit. Only Slade, White, Francis and Nowell definitely starters
Agree, you could almost see the unimaginable happening and Steeno not making the bench with Henry as flyhalf cover so an additional back can be available. The forwards choice is hard as well, Dennis, Lees and is tank going to score the winning try on his final home appearance if he gets a start?

Tight game. Penalty to win it. Or drop goal. Who would you want playing in the last 15 minutes?

Don't disagree. But if Ian W is fit do you have him or Lachie or Santiago perhaps Hendrickson on the bench? Or would.you want a couple.of.those options? We will find.out in a little over an hour.
