Can Chiefs make it 8 from 8?

Touchdown

Exeter Chiefs travel to Sixways this weekend to try and maintain their hold over Worcester since arriving in the AP.  I don't think Chiefs have been defeated by Worcester in Premiership games and I don't think that's about to change this weekend.  OK Worcester have broken their duck by defeating Newcastle and have shown signs of being a good side.  However the Chiefs had a rest last weekend and I think we'll see them really attack this one.  It's too easy for some to trott out the stats about only winning once in the last x number of games but this doesn't tell the whole story.  Like Worcester the Chiefs have suffered a lot of very narrow defeats but unlike their opposition they have shown the ability to blow sides away (although not always for 80 minutes).  I recently watched the LV= final highlights and this is the kind of performance I expect to see from the Chiefs v Worcester.  Rob Baxter has said he will pick the Chiefs side for the remaining AP games on performance and there'll be a lot of guys busting a gut to grab the starting shirt.  I can't be at this one so will have to rely on Radio Devon and the Tweeter in chief to keep me updated.

footnote: it would be good to receive a review from someone and Preview/Reviews for the remaining AP games

Certainly hope so, need to turn up and perform. Wuss will be up for this (survival) especially on the end of a win over Newcastle. We are fighting for the seventh spot, and should be motivated, please no more performances ala Glaws match.

I'm already in Worcester, having a pre match break with Mrs DontyoudarecallmeoldWing. Lovely city and friendly people. Locals I've spoken to seem to think Warriors are doomed to relegation, but equally see the match against us as their best chance of salvaging a bit of pride. Given that their other matches are against Bath, Saracens and Gloucester, I can see why they might think that. However, the weather forecast is good and so the conditions should suit us well. I see us continuing our domination against them so long as, as PinhoeChief says, we don't replicate our Gloucester performance.

After the Glaws performance, I'm sort of relieved that our next match is vs Wuss! We certainly can't play any worse than we did and a decent performance should bank us a win and get us back in the Championship Cup hunt! Fingers crossed!

Apologies Moorsman, it won't be me Tweeting this week. Two reasons:

1. MrsP. she say no.
2. Doing a video of possible opposition of my boys team in a few weeks time in a play-off game.

The first is, of course, 98% of the reason.

I'm travelling up tomorrow night and staying with friends near Ombersley, only a few miles from Sixways.

This will be my first visit to Sixways and I really hope I haven't picked a bad time to go. Surely we can't be as bad as we were against Good. Edit. That should be Glos not good. I love predictive text especially when its late and I'm tired.

Here's hoping.

Tony
