Chiefs go Duck Hunting
I hope this will be the last time I need to use this headline!
Exeter Chiefs visit Bath this Saturday looking to get a 1st win over their opposition since they joined the Aviva Premiership. The recent LV=Cup game will have little relevance although I imagine the Bath team from then will largely feature in the AP fixture. The Chiefs squad is likely to be similar to the one which suffered a narrow defeat against league leaders Saracens last week. The starting lineup only contained one player, Jack Nowell from the LV=Cup game.
Bath will provide a different sort of challenge, particularly playing at the Rec. They play a different type of game to Sarries and if recent form is anything to go by pack dominance will be the key to success. I'm confident that we can sure our own scrum ball and the lineout has definitely improved over recent games to the point where we have started taking opposition ball. A good platform will allow our backs to really have a go at Bath's defence and our defence has looked mighty good with just the occassional laps. Hopefully we won't repeat theese lapses denying Bath any way through. I see this as a close game but it's duck hunting season and I'm hoping to have mine with a rasberry or blackberry sauce on Saturday evening.
