Leeds Rhinos have revealed their new look home playing kit for the 2007 engage Super League season with the club reverting to a predominantly white home kit.
Leeds famously had an all white shirt in 1910 when the club first won the Challenge Cup captained by the legendary Fred Webster and white was worn regularly until the 1930’s.
The new shirt also includes the club’s famous blue and amber irregular hoops with the logo of new main club sponsors Leeds Building Society on the chest alongside an embroidered Leeds Rhinos logo. It has a blue collar with white shorts and white socks with blue and amber trim on both.
The shirt will go on sale for the first time this Saturday from the club shop at Headingley Carnegie Stadium from 9am. The shirt is available as mini kits for infants from just £20, juniors for £30 and adults for just £40. For the first time in the club’s history specially commissioned Ladies shirts have been produced for the club’s growing army of female supporters which are tailored to fit women, these are also £40.
The kit has been produced by official kit manufacturer Patrick for the fourth consecutive year and as well as the logo of Leeds Building Society it also incorporates the logos of associate sponsors Tetley’s, Leeds Met Carnegie, FPS, Kia and Cravendale. The shirt is also available at JJB Stores across the region.
Commenting on the new look kit captain Kevin Sinfield said, “The kit looks really smart, I’m not sure if the kit being white will give us an advantage in the heat of summer but I’m sure the fans will feel the benefit on the terraces! The combination of the white with blue and amber is a good mix of the club’s traditional colours and as a squad that history of this great club is something that take very much to heart.”
Mini kits are available in sizes 6/12m, 12/18m, 2/3yrs, 4/5yrs and 6/7yrs whilst Junior shirts are in sizes SB, MB, LB and XLB.
Adult shirts range from Small up to 5XL whilst the ladies fitted shirts are available in sizes 8 to 18.
