Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has today confirmed that Kent Reliance will replace MHS Homes as The Gills' new main sponsor. Kent Reliance will be Gillinghams shirt sponsor for the next three years. The deal will also see Gills' stadium renamed as 'The krbs.com Priestfield Stadium'.
Speaking to GillsWorld, Mr. Scally said: "This is a fantastic opportunity with a rapidly expanding national Building Society, with its roots right here in Kent, who have been described by many in the Financial media as the fastest and most progressive Building Society in the United Kingdom."
The Building Society will be presented as 'krbs.com' on the shirt, and Mr. Scally continued: ""I'm delighted to have krbs.com on board, and the deal is one of the most commercially attractive certainly in this league, and in the fullness of time, I think it will also outperform many in the division above."
The Priestfield Stadium will also be renamed as 'The krbs.com Priestfield Stadium' as of the 1st of June, and Gillingham and the Kent Reliance claim to be working on exciting new initiatives for young people and families.
Mr. Scally concluded by praising the outgoing sponsors MHS Homes by saying: "They are indeed a credit to their members, and the club looks very much to continuing a positive relationship with John Sands and the group in the future."
