Ronnie Jepson has revealed that striker Gary Mulligan has attracted interest from other clubs. Despite Ronnie Jepson constantly claiming that there has been now interest in his players, it is reported that hard-working forward Gary Mulligan has.
Mulligan, 21, has netted seven goals this season, despite a poor start to the current season goalscoring wise.

The young Irishman joined The Gills in January last year on loan from Sheffield United, where his performances impressed Gillingham manager and Gills fans so much, he was signed on a permenent basis in the Summer.

It was thought that Gary Mulligan's career at Gillingham ended prematurly however when a serious ankle injury cut short his loan spell and saw him return to Sheffield UTD. However, a quick recovery saw a quick return to the Gills side on loan.

Mulligan quickly found his feet again and scored that all important first goal in a Gills shirt against Huddersfield - his only that season for Gillingham as well.

Jepson signed Mulligan on a free transfer in the Summer of last year on a two year deal. But a lack of goals saw Mulligan fall down the pecking list earlier this season. But his determination was still there and got the goal that would finally start his season in the 'Johnstone's Paint Trophy' defeat to Nottingham Forest. For the next few games he found himself at the right place, at the right time to tap in good team goals - mainly all the work done by Jarvis.

Since Mulligan found the net against Nottingham Forest he was one of the first names on the team sheet every match, scoring vital goals.

And Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson believes that the interest is no less than what he deserves. Jepson said: "Rightly so, because of what he gives the team, not just his goals, but the other side."

Mulligan will be hoping to add to his tally tomorrow (Saturday) as the Gills host Doncaster at the Priestfield Stadium.
