Ronnie Jepson gives his views on the defeat to Millwall at The New Den. The Gills lost two one despite equalising late on, only to be denied by an even later goal to give the Lion's victory, to send the Gills crashing out of the Carling Cup.
The defeat means that the Gills miss out on vital prize money from the Carling Cup, and were hoping for a good cup run to help the financial situation.

Millwall took the lead six minutes before half time, but Andrew Crofts scored an equaliser on 80 minutes, latching onto a good corner by Clint Easton. But unfotunately for the Gills, a near identical goal was scorer by Millwall's super-sub Poul Hubertz, scoring his second goal in two substitute appearences.

Speaking about the game Ronnie said, "I thought overall there were good and bad things to take from the game," he said. "In the first half both teams were waiting for something to happen and then we gave it to them.

"But in the second we played better and forced seven or eight corners, eventually levelling. We had other chances but couldn't stick one away. It is disappointing and of course the result wasn't what I wanted."
