Both the Albion and West Ham United were today charged by the FA with breaking Rule E22a - "failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refraining from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour"
The charge rises from the tackle-gone-wrong which resulted in both Adam Virgo and WHU player Hayden Mullins being sent off. Both received a three match ban for the incident - Virgo has appealed, Mullins has stated his intent to appeal.
The charge laid against the club has a usual fine of 5-6,000 a club, cash the Albion can ill afford at this time. Wheter Virgo's appeal will be heard before Saturday, when Brighton play Burnley in the first game of his suspension, is as yet unknown.
