Mark McGhee has issued new contracts to a varied mix of young players and members of the "old guard". While some players have been given normal length con tracts, theres some very short ones as well... In a challange to the younger players at the club, McGhee has issued a number of 6 month and one year contracts to young players who need to prove themselves as being worthy of a place in The Championship

Dean Hammond and Dan Beck have both being given 1 year contract extensions, while David Lee and Darren Budd have both been issued only 6 month contracts.

However, longer serving players at the club have not been left out of the negotiations either. Adam Virgo, who scored the 119^th minute goal against Swindon that brought the Albion to the playoff final has been issued a 3 year contract.

In other news, one of the three strikers McGhee has on trial has been given international clearance to play against Crawley on Saturday.
