Mark McGhee has issued new contracts to a varied mix of young players and members of the "old guard". While some players have been given normal length con tracts, theres some very short ones as well...
In a challange to the younger players at the club, McGhee has issued a number of 6 month and one year contracts to young players who need to prove themselves as being worthy of a place in The Championship
Dean Hammond and Dan Beck have both being given 1 year contract extensions, while David Lee and Darren Budd have both been issued only 6 month contracts.
However, longer serving players at the club have not been left out of the negotiations either. Adam Virgo, who scored the 119th minute goal against Swindon that brought the Albion to the playoff final has been issued a 3 year contract.
In other news, one of the three strikers McGhee has on trial has been given international clearance to play against Crawley on Saturday.
