Worthing 0 - Brighton and Hove Albion 3

By Kian Duffy
July 14 2004

Two from Leon Knight and a late Worthing OG set up an easy friendly victory for the Seagulls away over their non league opponents. One goal each half from major (but tiny) hitman Leon Knight, with the late addition of a Marc Pullan own goal gave the Albion an easy victory over non-league Worthing, in their traditional pre-season friendly meeting

In what is the first match for the team since the 1-0 Playoff Final victory in May, McGhee could not test the three foreign strikers he has on trial due to problems with international clearance.

While Knights form is impressive, none of the strikers who are actually available for the first game of the season scored, which is not nessacerily a great omen for the next season.
