However, the Seagulls are still top of the Second, with only matches against Swindon Town and Port Vale remaining.

Bobby Zamora secured the victory in the 63rd minute with a goal in his first game back after the shoulder injury he picked up at the Notts County match. This injury did not seem to affect him seriously in this match, and he has recently been picked for the England U-21 squad for a match versus Portugal.

It was also learnt that if the Seagulls go up to the First, they would have to meet Leicester City, who were relegated from the Premiership today. Leicester’s current manaer is Micky Adams, the Brighton manager at the start of the season, and the current Brighton manager, Peter Taylor, has also managed Leicester. This will make for two interesting matches.

Reading play Tranmere tomorrow in a match that if lost or drawn, could assist Brighton greatly to the championship.
