After 'relaxing' weekend, Albion hit the road again for their second longest journey as they Travel up to Whitefield, Manchester where they will take on Sedgley Park Tigers.   

The Tigers have had an inconsistent season placing them in a relatively safe 7th, with 6 wins, mainly against teams in the lower third of the league. Their best achievement was a 27-22 win over Sale FC early on in the season.

Last season, the corresponding fixture saw the Tigers secure a convincing 41-26 win with Albion barely securing a Try Scoring Bonus Point. The following return fixture at Brickfields was a close 38- 35 win for Albion who hung after being 35-10 ahead just after half time.

This season Albion are scoring an average 5.5 tries per game, whilst conceding a little over 3. Tigers, however, have and average of 3 scored and 5 conceded. Tigers' strengths lie with their front row and the centres, but these should be adequately covered by Albion. During the game it is likely that the Tigers will weaken, particularly in the last quarter when they tend to allow significantly more tries. By keeping penalties to a minimum and thereby avoiding line outs will limit the threat that the Tigers' pack possesses, Albion should seek to control the ball as much as possible, with the goal of being in a comfortable winning position by half time. Pressure can then be applied in the second to secure a convincing away win.

Albion will need to be wary of wet and muddy conditions levelling out the sides. Tigers may seek to capitalise on this by focusing on a kicking game.

Player to watch - The Winger/fullback Andy Riley, earning his 300th cap. A great achievement.

Weather - A cold day dominated by light rain throughout. A fresh breeze with strong gusts will make the kicking game difficult.

Prediction: Should be a comfortable win for Albion

Other games of note:
Sale (5th) v Blackheath (3rd) - Both sides straddle Albion in the table and a loss for either will see them falling back from the chasing pack. Sale have been more consistent of late, but Blackheath have a strong side.
Rams (6th) v Rotherham (1st) - Rams could give the Titans a headache if they can recover their early season form.
Leeds v Birmingham Moseley & Bishops Stortford v Dings - Bottom of the table clashes where wins for Mose & Dings would really make things tight down there.
