Round 23: Birmingham Moseley v Albion

Next up is an away trip to the Midlands, where Albion take on the Birmingham Moseley.

After last Weekend's win, Albion have climbed back up to 5th, 7 points behind their opponents who lie just above them.

Whilst aware of Albion's recent poor form, there may be an opportunity as BM have also experienced a small dip in form with two away losses in their last 3 fixtures, and not against teams in the upper part of the table.

Throughout the season Birmingham Moseley have scored slightly more tries per game than Albion, but Albion have a far better record when it comes to conceding tries with BM being particularly generous in the latter part of each half.

Albion have also only accrued 14 cards to BM's 21, so keeping discipline could give Albion an advantage in numbers. However, the Referee will be Owen Taylor, who on last officiating Albion, awarded Albion two yellow cards in the away fixture against Rams (where the top spot was lost).

The reverse fixture at the Brickfields earlier in the season was a tight 19-18 win for Albion after being 7-18 down at half-time and a with a red-card shown to Harry Wilkinson the home side dug deep to put themselves ahead. BM almost clinched it at the end, but missed what would have been the game winning penalty.

With a forecast of showers with sunny intervals, a Westerly breeze could make the kicking game interesting. Albion might be better suited to keep the ball amongst the forwards. It should not be a surprise to see Birmingham favouring the backs, capitalising on Albion's current squad issues.

Prediction: Most likely a defeat for Albion, particularly given the poor away form, but if they can put in a performance on par with that of last Saturday.

A good result, well the lads, is the top three possible do you think.
After looking at the table I think fourth would be our best chance.
