This week Albion will be looking to extend their unbeaten run of 4 wins as they entertain Sale FC at the Brickfields.

Despite finishing third last season, Sale have had a difficult start to the season losing all four of their opening games before breaking their drought with a win against Blackheath. Noteably, against Albion, Sale have won the last 5 fixtures between the two sides.

To date Sale have amassed 7 yellow cards, the worst in the league. Four of these came in their opening fixture against Blackheath. Their game last week was the first this season where they didn't trouble the referees notebook. Also of note is that they have had 10 penalties scored against them, another "worst" in the league.

Sale have scored 11 tries so far this season of which three have come through the front row. Another 4 came from the wingers. Meanwhile, they have conceded 14, far from being the worst in the league (actually third best!), and six of those were conceded in one match against Chinnor which shows some tenacity in defence when they can get it right. However, a large proportion of the tries against them were scored across the backs.

We can expect Sale to have a strong pack and a good backline defence. Although the defence could be susceptable to an open game. They can be expected to weaken in the second half and more so in the last quarter. Albion would do well to play a patient game in the first half, taking any points that are available. If and when a comfortable lead has been established, then focus can be switch towards securing the TBP.       

Referee for the day will be Jamie Parr for his fourth Nat 1 game this season. Mr Parr has averaged less than 1 yellow card per game this season at Nat 1 level, although can be quite generous with them if he sees fit with the most issued in one game being 4 last season. 

Weather: Sunny and relatively warm with light southerly breeze.

Forecast: Should be a win for Albion, but may be frustrated in their efforts to get the bonus point.

Player to note: Ed Stagg - in the Sale roster, but may not be in the matchday squad. Played for Albion during the ill fated 2014/15 season.

Other games of note: Whilst expecting the top 3 sides to win their fixtures, Blackheath in 4th welcome 11th placed Cinderford. Both sides have won 3 games this season against similarly placed sides. Meanwhile 5th placed Chinnor visit 6th placed Rosslyn Park.

I think it'll be an easy bonus point win - for Albion.

Hopefully the Rams stumble.

A great result, and a handy league position.
I wish Albion would have a decent bitter on sale I am getting fed up drinking stout.
