Round 6 away day at Chinnor

This weekend sees Albion on the road to Chinnor who have struggled to get going this season.

Currently lying in 11th place 5 places below Albion and 7 points behind, Chinnor have only one win to date this season against Birmingham Moseley although gained 2 points from a narrow loss to Leeds in the latest outing.

Last year's trip proved to be a high scoring affair with Albion turning over a 14 point deficit in the last 10 minutes to secure what was then a much needed win. Chinnor got their revenge in the return fixture earlier this year at Brickfields with a more modest 12-19 scoreline.

Penalties could be Chinnor's Achille's heel as they have accumulated 6 yellow cards so far, 4 of which have been earnt by the pack, whilst Albion have a saintly 2, better only by Cambridge.

On paper, Albion have a better record this season, outscoring their prospective opponents 3:2 in tries, although both teams have conceded a similar number of points overall.

Chinnor also more vulnerable in the first half, however, they utilise their bench well and may have quite a sting in their tail when it comes to the final moments of the game.

Forecast - Albion may be expected to get off to another good start but will need to keep their concentration for the full 80 minutes a strong scrum will dominate the game, particularly if the Referee takes a dim view of indescretions. A bonus point win would suit Albion.

Weather - Dry, overcast with a moderate breeze. a little on the chilly side.

Other noteable fixtures Rams v Cambridge will result in one or the other losing their 100% records, also Cinderford v Sale - occupying 4th & 5th they sit immediately above Albion in the table. Whilst unlikely that Albion would move up the table, the gap to 5th would certainly close, provided Albion win of course.

I fancy us to win a close game, less then one score in it I think.
