Round 18: Albion v Sale FC

One can only hope that last week's dismal result has been consigned to the history books and Albion will approach this game with a positive attitude.

Sale are currently 3rd with a 11-5 record and come off the back of giving Tonbridge a 66-10 hiding at Heywood Road.

On paper, it seems that Sale will be too much for Albion to handle, with perhaps the only opportunities being to exploit the wings. Otherwise, Sale are very evenly balanced in terms of attack and defence.

Top try scorer with 7 is Scrum-half/Wing Thomas Walsh, with another two wingers Neville Edwards and Jack Metcalf on 6.

Any chance of the weather becoming a 'leveller' seems remote with a forecast of chilly, overcast day with a light breeze.

Prediction: a tough day for Albion. Be prepared for a heavy defeat.

Kick off at 3:00 pm.

Improvement yes but we’re getting to the must win or face going down . My glass is still half full but my finger nails getting shorter.

Another game where we did enough to win but came up short, why our forwards insist on trying to batter their way through when the backs are standing wide unmarked is a mystery to me.
