Well I wish I could give you one, unfortunately I was unwell so unable to attend the game.   It’s not often I miss a game, but the cold got the better of me and didn’t want it to get worse over Christmas  Fortunately I had asked someone to text me, in return for my hipflask of rum.  They forgot, possibly due to said rum, so relied on Twitter for the match updates.   What a close game it seemed from my comfy seat with cough linctus and Rum on hand for medicinal purposes.  The twitter updates also had ‘live action’ videos, so I could see the conditions.  What a close game, 19-16 a win for Albion.

Shame that I missed it, but happy Christmas to all, and see you all in the new year x

It seemed quite disjointed today, far too many penalties and lottle possession in decent field position from Albion in the first half. That said, the rare occasions where we made it into the the opposition's half led to tries.

The second half was just as edgy, with the 'white line fever' striking yet again at it's start. Relief came, bizarrely after a converted penalty by Esher, when Frank Kelly collected a tap-back from Esher to run in for a try. This proved to be the winning score although Albion must rue the lost opportunites to secure the bonus point towards the end of the game,

A win is a win - especially as it was close.

CD - in my experience any "rum incentives" should be given AFTER delivery, not before.

I also followed on twitter and enjoyed the video clips!

You can't fault the commitment or the passion shown by the players and the win was the very important outcome. At times the defence was excellent. I thought the forwards played well, away from the set piece. I'm not sure why the backs lack the penetration and creativity that we have seen in the past but maybe it's the constant changes in personnel and the lack of time playing together. Three wins in a row will provide confidence to improve. Not perfect by a long way but going in the right direction!
