Out with the Old and in with the New, the old decking for the supporters marquee is no more with it being stripped away to make room for a brand new walkway which will give a much better foothold for all. It's great to see this work being done as it is badly needed.

Jumping across to the other side of the ground the P.A. hut gets a first coat of paint for the season and the front walls to the Eric John's stand are also geting a facelift as well.

The first thing you will notice when you arrive through the main entrance will be a new home for the old Bath terracing now in front of the north end banking giving the old North enders somewhere to replicate their old haunt although somewhat closer to the action. I know of one person in particular who has been banging on about the loss of his vantage point ever since, well now he can watch the games from his favourite position albeit a little lower down, more like a Devonport Mid Terrace location rather than his old Higher Devonport position as he used to say, enjoy the games Andy.

Back to the supporters marquee again.

Before popping inside to check on the progress in reverting that back to it's original supporters watering and feeding area as it always was.

It's still a work in progress at the moment being one of the last jobs to finish before the start of the season proper.

But the biggest alteration for me is the demolition of the defunct toilet block behind the P.A. hut which has been raised to the ground, not before time either as it had been allowed to become a hazard, great move and this still leaves the ground with probably more toilets than other grounds.

I am I must say impressed with the improvements being done bearing in mind the lack of funds that we were faced with a few months ago, as long as someone is counting the money I'm all for it and can't wait for the 3rd September.

Has all of the old Bath stand been moved to the North end or is some of it staying next to the East Stand - as the photos possibly suggest?

Looking good to me Andy you will now have your viewing platform back but no climbing involved. A bit concerned though by the lack of toilets around the ground.

Really concerned about the removal of the "Eric Johns" loos. The nearest to the seated stand would now appear to be right over in the club house. Quite a hike for those of us with mobility issues.

Still much better than the majority of clubs we will visit his year, where ONE set of toilets serves the whole ground and even less convenient for the less mobile

Our facilities are second to none in this league, and probably compared to a lot of Championship clubs.

When you're standing on a wet, cold windswept muddy field that's inconvenient!

Complain about facilities, I suggest you try Amthills, one set of toilets at the top of a grass bank, and the gents you actually pee over a stick. Really less than basic.

As I remember Cov has one set of toilets for the supporters hasn't it? I would think Darlington has more as it's a newly built ground for soccer haven't been to Mose so that leaves us with three such sets of toilets at Brickfields, unfortunately the Eric is now the most distant to either, let's hope the toilet in question is restored soon especially as it's nearest to the stand where those with a mobility issue would sit I feel.

I also believe that the club have also put some buckets next to the stand for those less easily offended. Couldn't get there yesterday as I had to do babysitting and kids don't like getting to wet

we enjoy a very nice ladies facilities in the east stand ( i would check out the gents but they are shy types) , short walk and very clean. we did notice the 'eric johns stand conga line' going towards the clubhouse facilities, not good weather for such a trip

Notwithstanding the drips mentioned above the ground looks well tidied from the top of the East Stand. The old scoreboard is a bit of a loss - really efficient at a glance, but I guess that's progress.

Having to switch to four wheels at the last minute, I didn't get to try out the bar arrangements or beer. Any feedback?

Tea is up by 50%, mind...

Overheard in the supporters bar Guinness in the main clubhouse £4-20
in the flooded supporters bar £4-00, heard the gentleman say that the
clubhouse was 20p extra because it had "Facilities"???? At those prices I & a few others will not be drinking Guiness.Also the pasties were not for sale unless you bought a pint??????

Ironic then, that a few remainders were chopped up and handed out as freebies afterwards...

So good to see the moaners haven't waited for things to settle in.

For goodness sake give things a chance. The club are trying different things, some will work and some won't. Just give them a chance before moaning.

I'm sure some people are genetically disposed to complaining!
