Another "200 club and supporters luncheon" was held on Wednesday last, the first of the month, at Brickfields which was as usual well attended and enjoyed by all those present on lovely summers day. This is as good as being served on a cruise someone was heard to say what with pleasant surroundings and company and a chance to catch up on the latest Albion day to day gossip.

This get together was just one more in a long line of functions under the banner of the "200 and supporters club" occasions whereby in addition to the chance of a good natter whilst raising important funds for the club by way of helping to provide various facilities etc. for the players and the general infrastructure around the ground for the benefit of the supporters.

A few of the items that have been provided for out of the "200" funds over the years are the sponsorship of various players, a substantial sum went towards the installation of the new goal posts, the ball boys/girls have had new tops which we have all seen this last season and various funds have been donated to the F.A.B. group over the years by way of pressure washers and power tools to assist in the excellent work that they do keeping the ground in a smart and tidy condition all year round doing the ongoing work needed when money has been tight at the club during the close season.
My god that looks good enough to eat.
There are also prizes to be won folks as you can see, along with I believe, a meat voucher which is presented at the December gathering of the supporters meal.
Details are being finalized for the annual barbecue with Laura I'm told and an announcement on this much sought after gathering will be given a.s.a.p.
Enjoy your summer folks.
