Brilliant news, just in from the club regarding all monies raised from various fundraising schemes. 

These monies will be ring fenced for use towards ground improvements etc., only and not used in the general day to day running of the club. 

These improvements will be announced by the club from time to time as the projects arise and as new projects are planned. 

As a result of non action by way of any planning ahead for the ultimate replacement of either structures or machinery etc., at Brickfields in previous times, we have been playing catch up for years. That is all about to gradually change, meaning that any monies collected in any fund raising venture for the club from now on will be going to items which will help to improve the match day experience for the supporters and will be visible to everyone to see and get the full benefit of. 

This decision from the club is, to me, of vital importance, as we all need to know where this extra money is going I feel, and to be a part of it, rather than not know what is happening other than just have it go into the general accounts for the purpose of day to day expenses or other things. 

We are also in the process of hopefully joining up with the 200 club to this end, so that the 200 club members will also now have a chance to see a direct benefit from the money they raise, they have of course raised many thousands of pounds that they have contributed over the years to the club under Vince’s guidance. 

The club will announce in due course a priority of planned project/projects for our first fund raising targets, so keep watching this site to keep up to date about the totals needed and the running total of funds raised to date towards those targets, keeping us in touch with developments. 

Lastly, for now, we are building the size of our sales team for each home game, please help us if you can by joining the team and sending me a private message on here if you feel you would like to get involved, we have a forty-five minute slot before the k.o. in which to sell, so as to fit in with the meals being served in the corporate area’s. We raised £200 in our first venture at the Rotherham game with a team of two and will be four in number for the Moseley game where we plan to at least double the sales, and want to build to at least six for the International on Friday evening the 1st. February to sell to the R.F.U. themselves which should be interesting and rewarding. 

Lastly don’t forget that the club benefit by getting 90p. out of every £1 of tickets sold, a brilliant deal for the club. 

Last year when Frank Stormont was in charge we sold over £3000 worth of tickets which we need to improve on this time so we need everybody's support in some way or other to help us to make it better for you.

Good news indeed

I personally have been saying for years that we need to see tangible results, which will in turn allow us to take more pride in the club and spur the support on for yet more fundraising. The club will then be what we make of it.

Reading between the lines (and possibly heading into the realms of speculation and fantasy), this looks like the club have gained enough financial flexibility to seperate their income streams and direct funds to often lower priority projects.

I'm not too sure about that line of thought Igwok, although you could be right. As I see it there has been a change of thinking at the club with the acceptance of involving the club supporters in having a chance to have some input into the club rather than just the monies we pay on matchdays, whichever way it's a big step in the right dirction for me for the very reasons you mention.

Following the sale of draw tickets at the Rotherham game we increased our number to five with help from Nats squad who weren't involved on the day for the Moseley game and I'm pleased to say that we raised £597.

Looking forward to the International to raise more much needed monies for ground improvements.

The club have requested more tickets from the R.F.U. so although only the Bedford game in which to increase total sales after the International as the we have got to send the counterfoils back to the R.F.U. and they need to handed back to the club by the 1st. March.

But with extra tickets coming we should beat last years £3000 raised from sales.

A quick update for you, we collected £187 in the Keir prior to the International match, quite pleasing as we were down to two selling due to illness and non availability also a couple of players didn't materalise and considering we were given only about 25/30 minutes selling time, it compared well with previous efforts.

The Bedford game on the 16th. February is our last opportunity to sell at Brickfields and I'm hoping to have six or more in the team and am looking at a target of £700 plus. This will give us a total sales of 1750 approx and then another 100 or so from other tickets handed out for sale.

I know the club have recieved their second batch from the R.F.U. of another 3000 so last years total of £3000 profit for the club should be surpassed I hope.

The stubs and cash then go back to the club before the 5th. March.

A big thankyou to everybody who has and will be helping out in this fund raising effort.

Just to bring you up todate we sold another £802 of tickets for the R.F.U. grand draw which gives us a total from our small sales group of £1818. This means the club will recieve £ 1636.20 profit from these sales.

Plus of course what ever else others have sold as well, I will try to get a final total from the club to let you all know what w finish up with.
