He may of changed his colours but he still has the skills that made him Player of the Season for 2009/10.

Better late than never!

Tyler Marshall and Tim Mitchell present Liam Gibson with the 5th annual supporter's player of the season award 2009/10

If you can remember back to the end of last season we had a vote for the supporter's Player of the Season. Normally this would have presented at the end of season do but when I got up to present the award the player concerned was nowhere to be seen.

Liam won the award with captain Karl  Marriott coming a close second. Liam had an impressive season after switching his shirt number from 14 to 11. He played all 37hours 20 mins of championship rugby in the league and pool phases, more than any other player in any club.

He follows in the steps of previous winners Martin Schusterman, Nic Sestaret, Ed Lewsey, Matt Hopper.

Both Liam and Karl were at the match on Saturday against London Welsh. One participating and the other just watching in preparation for our match against Pirates in a few weeks.

In the past we have presented a silver framed action photo but this time we have gone one step further and Liam was presented with a clock which has his smile on it as he touched down at snow swept Birmingham and Solihull. An appropriate image as the travel club hope to travel to their new ground shared with the local soccer club.
