Fans enjoy race live viewing at Sauber Factory

Last weekend the BMW Sauber F1 Team invited guests to a live viewing session in Hinwil for the third time in its history. Although Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld failed to live up to expectations at the Bahrain Grand Prix, this was not enough to dampen the spirits of the 260 BMW Sauber F1 Team Race Club members, who enjoyed a memorable afternoon at the team's headquarters in Switzerland. The wind tunnel building, in which the Live Viewing took place, opened its doors at 11:30. It soon became apparent that Race Club members had responded to this year's invitation in great numbers. The hall was sold out for the live broadcast of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Two hours before the fourth race of the season got underway in Bahrain, those present in Hinwil could already look forward to one of the day's highlights: Peter Sauber. The consultant to the BMW Sauber F1 Team gave interviews and willingly signed autographs. Once events had drawn to a close at the "Bahrain International Circuit", Sauber gave a detailed analysis of the disappointing way the race had developed.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team used the Live Viewing to present the fans with the exclusive season packages for the 2009 Formula One season. A quiz, at which guests could win valuable prizes like part of the BMW Sauber F1.09 and a Certina watch, rounded off an entertaining afternoon in Hinwil.

Thats a heck of a good idea, to add to the "how to improve BMW-fans relation" list, especially with the windtunnel rules now enforcing it to be used only for 8hours a day, during 6 days.
