Kubica awarded Lorenzo Bandini Trophy

By BMW Sauber F1 Team
April 14 2008

BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Robert Kubica will become the latest recipient of the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy. The award, which is predominantly given to young Formula One drivers whose outstanding performances on the track have caught the eye, will be presented to the Pole on 18th May in Brisighella, Italy. With two podium finishes and a pole position, Robert has impressed fans and experts alike this season. Fans in his adopted country of Italy have also followed the 23-year-old's latest performances closely. In Brisighella, the home town of Italian racing driver Lorenzo Bandini, who died in 1967, the powers that be have decided to honour Robert's performances: mid-May he will receive the coveted Lorenzo Bandini Trophy.

Since 1992, the award has been given to young drivers that have shown particular fighting spirit and sporting ability in motor sport's elite class. Previous winners include Jacques Villeneuve, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, Fernando Alonso and, last year, Felipe Massa. Up until a few years ago, the presentation took place at the San Marino Grand Prix. When Imola was removed from the race calendar, the award ceremony was moved to Brisighella.

He was the thinnest man on the grid, phucking anorectic.(thats why he was awarded)

F1 is not modeling or skijumping, its for men... but due to RKs diet girls will be the fastest in near future. But i dont mind of that though. When u need to be light the first pick will be woman.

So now u got the uglyest car which is driven by thinnest man of the grid, so its a winning formula, nooottt!!!!!!

You meant dwarves rather like Massa (59 kg) and Kimi (62 kg), didnt you? BTW did you know that in IRL there are two girls heavier than Massa?

Kubica's problem is that he is the only man among dwarves.

Where did I compare the ways anyone looks? And actually in IRL there are two girls 20 pounds heavier than Danica.

And AFAIR it was you who was so sensitive about aesthetical aspect of F1 drivers so you should start work with your own sexual identity rather than others.

BTW i think you misused word metrosexual.

Washingmachine, metrosexual and bling I think go hand in hand. Just ask any bling supporter, i.e. a fan of of male driver who shows potential.

Anyways since you brought up women and the IRL do you have a comment on F1 and the women who participated there. Lella Lombardi for example.

I'm sure you are right FluffF1 when it comes to bling since you are proven and passionate expert and connoisseur of male drivers beauty. You spent so much time discussing all aesthetical aspects of drivers that no one on f1 sportnetwork boards could challenge you in that area.

In fact Im not at all suprised that you come back after such a long period of silence and started discussion about drivers beauty, metrosexualism and bling in a topic about award for an outstanding figure from the world of racing.

No Wals, you attacked female drivers and suggested male drivers were better looking.

I understand if you think males drivers are better looking, that is you choice.

Whatever you take stop before it is too late. The damages it caused to your brain are already severe and irreversable but maybe there is hope for you.

BTW what actually happend with you? You are neither funny nor annoying anymore, you are in really bad shape. Your posts in some other threads seem so bitter. Is everything ok with you?

He looks like a soupbone. Thats not healthy anymore, and here we go talking about weight like girls, coz Kubica desided to be anorectic.

Next new F1 drivers will look like sticks.

Timba,

Kubica did not decide to loose weight becasue he thought it would make him look better. He did it to find extra free ballast weight for his engineers. He knows he risks here. He admited he lost not only fat, but also muscle mass so he was afraid about his fitness prior first races. And he did look like zombie after Malaysia, it looked he had to dig very deep to find stamina to last that race. He is probably short of some muscles nor, but certainly not short of fighting spirit.

Thanks for the photos and the video link. By the way, Peter Sauber got his Lifetime Achievement Award there as well, I wonder why there´s a lack of news about it.

The video is a bit disappointing, but that´s the best we have at the moment. I´m waiting anxiously for the new uploads at YouTube.

Two options:

1. I would go to see my doc to ask to change my medication

2. I would go to see my doc to thank him and ask to increase my doze of medication.
