Everton have been linked with a move with former Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool and Manchester City ace Nicolas Anelka. Anelka has admitted he is considering a move away from his current club Fenerbache, it is reported that a deal could be worth around 5 million pounds.
Anelka left Manchester City a year ago but has failed to really settle in Turkey and has expressed an interest in returning to the Premiership. Newcastle attemtped to sign the French star in the summer but were not willing to pay the 12million that Fenerbache wanted for Anelka. Now it seems a move is likely for Anelka with Everton and Newcaslte heading the chase.
Anelka said, 'Perhaps I will leave Fenerbahce in the summer or before. The club knows my position. I came to play in the Champions League and help the club get through the first round – but it hasn't worked out. I would like to have second opportunity to play for a big club – that is why I gave my best with Fenerbahce.'
If David Moyes could sign Anelka it would provide a huge boost for the Toffee's for the second half the season. Anelka would be demanding huge wages, probably around 50k a week and he would become Everton's highest earner by some distance. However whether Anelka would see Everton as the ideal club considering their league position is another matter.
