Simon Davies has been selected for international duty in September despite not playing the mid week friendly due to injury. Toshack is hopeful that Simon will be fit to face England but has several under-21 internationals ready to step up.
Simon Davies has been called up to the Wales National Team, despite not playing in the last game against Slovenia due to injury. It is believed that the injury is a shin issue which will also rule out Simon playing for Everton's first away game of the season.
John Toshack has selected him in his squad knowing full well that there may be casualties before the vital clash at the Millenium Stadium against England in September. Toshack had 9 first team players missing for the friendly against Slovenia and has braced himself for not everyone being fit for the World Cup qualifiers and has several under-21 internationals ready to step up into first team action. |
