Sam Allardyce has sent his Bolton squad over to Switzerland for the start of what he predicts will be a tough pre-season workout.. The first team begin their preparations for the new season with a ten day stint in the town of Bad Ragaz which is located very near to the picturesque Swiss Alps region.

"The players have rested well and are looking fresh and ready for a tough pre-season,I'm expecting our most demanding season to date and the physical mental challenges that will come our way will be severe.

"Pre-season plays a massive part in our foundations and to have the best facilities available is imperative for us to be equipped for the season ahead.

Sports Science expert Mark Taylor and First Team Coach Ricky Sbragia will take charge of the training as Allardyce remains in the United Kingdom to sort out potential new recruits.

World Cup stars Jared Borgetti and Radhi Jaidi have been given extra time off to recouperate after serving their countries in this summers prestigious tournament in Germany.

New signing Idan Tal does however link up with the rest of the squad after completing the formalaties of his move from reigning Israeli champions Macabbi Haifa.
