Bolton Physio Heads South

Bolton Wanderers are on the lookout for a new physiotherapist after Andy Barr left the club to join Championship outfit Southampton. The former Luton Town trainee and BSc graduate has been with the Wanderers for over five years and has worked with the youth and senior teams during his time at the Reebok Stadium.

Barr will step up a notch in the medical ladder as he now becomes the Saints new Head of Sports medicine, a role in which he is familiar with having worked alongside Bolton's very own sports science expert Mark Taylor for a number of years.

Speaking of his new appointment the 26-year old was full of praise for Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce, the man who brought him back into football after injury had ended his own playing career prematurely.

"Sam Allardyce is very forward-thinking and put in place some wonderful things and I cannot thank him enough for all he did for me." said Barr
